Microneedling

Microneedling, also called Dermal Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), is an innovative, non-ablative treatment to rejuvenate the skin and the results are natural, virtually risk-free, effective and affordable to increase volume, firmness, and even skin tone.

This treatment can help treat wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation, age spots, acne, rosacea, and pore size.

What does the treatment feel like?

Microneedling involves pricking the skin multiple times with a device containing very small stainless steel ”micro” needles of 0.5 to 2 mm in length that stimulate cellular regeneration. The tiny microneedles are rolled over the skin causing 'controlled' micro-injuries and creating hundreds of tiny channels that trigger the body’s natural healing response to heal the channels, where the skin begins to produce collagen and elastin to “fill the channel”. Numbing cream can be applied before the treatment to maximize patient comfort. The treatment is completed with the application of hyaluronic acid which moisturizes the skin, restores its internal structure and helps maintain natural functions in the skin.

We advise you to avoid wearing makeup 24-48 hours following the treatment unless you use mineral makeup.

The treatment can be customized to treat localized problem areas such as scars, dark undereye circles, crow’s feet, and neck or chest lines.

Take home kits to further maintain the health and function of the skin between professional treatments are available.

The device slides along the skin and penetrates the upper layers of the skin to a depth of up to 2mm to create tiny needle wounds. This signals the body to respond by producing collagen and elastin fibers. As a result, the skin becomes fuller, thus reducing the appearance of scars lines and wrinkles.
When you arrive at our clinic we will clean your skin and apply a strong topical anesthetic for your comfort. Then, we will wait for the numbing cream to take effect (30 minutes).
